OUR STORY

Envisage Pregnancy Services opened in December 2006 as the Barrie Pregnancy Resource Centre (BPRC). The BPRC’s vision was to provide support and assistance to anyone facing unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy related difficulty. In November 2018, we changed our name to Envisage Pregnancy Services to make it less confusing as we began to provide services in other communities, such as our satellite centre in South Georgian Bay. Envisage is a non-profit, charitable organization, supported by individuals, businesses and churches in our community.

Envisage is a Christian organization. We are absolutely convinced that there is a God … and that people matter to God. However, we serve people of all faith backgrounds and no faith background. We recognize that some people have been hurt by certain religious practices and we grieve deeply with them. Our love and care for people makes it easy for us to honor each person’s journey and perspective. Please know that although we are happy to talk about spiritual matters, there is no pressure or expectation to do so. Our focus is caring for you.

All services are free and confidential.

The centre provides peer-based support. We are not a medical clinic and do not offer medical services, counsel or advice.

Although we provide support to women considering adoption, we are not an adoption agency and do not facilitate adoption.

Although we provide lab-quality urine pregnancy tests, all pregnancies should be confirmed by a doctor.

We do not provide or refer for abortion.

Thank you for thinking of us for your gently used and in good condition material items. Please call the centre ahead of your drop off donation. We have limited space for storage and while we are grateful, our capacity may be full.
