Pregnancy TestTaking a pregnancy test can feel overwhelming, especially when the pregnancy is unexpected. You might have concerns about privacy or what the next steps should be if you are pregnant. We provide a free, self-administered, urine-based pregnancy test in a confidential supportive environment. You don’t have to face this situation alone. Contact us for an appointment.

At Envisage we listen. We provide you with a safe, supportive, and confidential place to talk about your unique situation and feelings. We provide compassionate care, and accurate information to empower you as you explore all of your pregnancy options.

Ongoing Support

Taking a pregnancy test is just the beginning of a journey. At Envisage, we provide ongoing support as you take the time to consider your options and throughout your journey, with any option you choose.

If you choose to parent, our Preparing for Baby Program will provide ongoing peer support, classes to prepare for birth and practical help with things like diapers and gently used clothing. If you explore adoption, we provide peer support and classes to prepare for birth, the adoption process and to process the feelings you may face after placing your baby for adoption. We also provide peer-based support after abortion if you would find it helpful to process your emotions. You are not alone.

Post Abortion Support

Some women feel relief after an abortion, while others may experience difficult emotions. If you are struggling with your emotions after an abortion, there is hope. We provide a safe place for you to process emotions connected to abortion experiences. Whether you had an abortion last week or thirty years ago, if you need support, we are here for you. Adoption Information & Support

If you are not in a position to parent a child right now, you might consider adoption. Envisage can provide you with support and information as you explore the option of adoption. If you decide that adoption is the best choice for you and your baby, we will provide you with support throughout the process, including peer-based emotional support and individualized classes to help you prepare for birth and the adoption process. We provide help with practical needs such as maternity clothing from our care cupboard. And we continue to provide peer-based support to process the feelings you may face after placing your baby for adoption.Contact us for an appointment to learn more.

 

Preparing for Baby Program

iStock_000009595653XSmall[1]If you decide to continue your pregnancy and parent your baby, our holistic Preparing for Baby Program provides you with ongoing peer-based support during pregnancy and the first year after your baby’s birth. This program also offers childbirth education classes, post-partum support with infant care and feeding, and help with practical items such as gently used maternity and baby clothing from our care cupboard.

Parenting Program & Postpartum Support

We provide postpartum support and a parenting group which covers topics such as attachment and child development.

Adjusting to life with a new baby can be challenging! Our parenting program is available for anyone in the early stages of parenting who would like support. This program includes peer-based support, access to our clothing and practical items and a 12-week group program (Strengthening Families Program) which runs twice per year, in the spring and fall. Individuals who have accessed support at Envisage throughout their pregnancy will have first access to the program, but we also welcome new parents to contact us if you are interested in joining us.

Virtual Services

All of our services are provided in-person at our Barrie and South Georgian Bay location.
However, we also offer the option of phone or virtual appointments, for those who prefer them.

Thank you for thinking of us for your gently used and in good condition material items. Please call the centre ahead of your drop off donation. We have limited space for storage and while we are grateful, our capacity may be full.
